with you.
This policy describes Margin for iPhone and iPad, provided by WODSMITH LLC. Contact zac@wodsmith.com with privacy questions.
Notes and preferences
Margin stores notes, passage text, highlights, and preferences locally on your device. It does not require an account, upload your notes to us, or provide cloud synchronization. Device backups may include this data according to your Apple settings.
No tracking or advertising
Margin contains no advertising, tracking SDK, or third-party analytics SDK. We do not sell your data or use it for cross-app tracking.
Optional network requests
The complete BSB is bundled and needs no network connection. If you download WEB or ASV, your device connects to the Free Use Bible API at bible.helloao.org. The provider receives normal request information, such as your IP address and the requested Bible file. Your notes are not included in those requests.
If a note contains a remote Markdown image, reading it can request that image from its host. Opening links connects to the linked website. These hosts handle request information under their own policies.
Sharing and support
Notes leave the app when you choose to export or share them through the system share sheet. The destination service handles the exported content. If you contact support, we receive the email address and information you send and use it to respond and troubleshoot.
This website
This support site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes ordinary web request information to deliver and protect the site. We have not added analytics scripts, advertising, or tracking cookies.
Retention and deletion
You can delete individual notes and optional Bible downloads in the app. Uninstalling the app removes its local data. Backups and copies exported to other services must be managed separately. For support correspondence, contact us to request deletion of information you provided.
Changes
We will update this page if Margin’s data practices change and revise the effective date above.
